Eat Drink Westside has been showcasing venues across the west and delighting tastebuds since 2016.
The Eat Drink Westside 2024 program has just been announced! Tickets on sale from 1 February. More info and tickets on the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival website. For updates follow our Eat Drink Westside socials @eatdrinkwestside.
2023’s jam packed program included 16 events across 10 days, featuring wineries, enticing flavours from Iran to the Philippines, cannoli masterclasses, specialty cheese, signature cocktails and lots more.
A key feature of Eat Drink Westside 2023 was Westside Wanders, a series of mouthwatering guided journeys through a selection of the area’s gourmet venues.
Running between 24 March – 2 April 2023, Westside Wanders celebrated the food culture of twelve different neighbourhoods. Each evening ‘Wander’ took participants to interesting venues, stopping for a bite, a drink or a snack at each. Each ‘Wander’ was hosted by well-known media personalities, like 3RRR’s Cam Smith, creating an entertaining and immersive experience.
The MFWF Special Events Program also showcased the diversity of the area with a selection of epicurean events spanning Footscray to Werribee.
The 2023 Westside Wanders included Aintree, Caroline Springs, Moonee Ponds, Footscray, Newport, Williamstown, St Albans, Sunshine, Yarraville, Werribee South and Werribee.
The series of special events included: Westside Wine and Dine, Werribee; Vicious and Delicious, Footscray; The Pub with no Booze Footscray; Get Cheesy with the Studd Siblings, Werribee South; Black Axe Mangal x Harley & Rose: the party, West Footscray; Sicily in Footscray, Footscray.
We have curated a visual feast of images and videos that provide a glimpse into the program.
