On Tap
The Melton City Council arts team has been busy working with professional conservators to polish, repair, repaint and clean some of the most significant artworks in its public art collection.
One of the most stunning transformations has been for a very prominent artwork, Simon Perry’s On Tap at Caroline Springs Lake, which was looking a little lack-lustre after years of wear and tear.
The conservators did an amazing job re-coating the sculpture, preparing a new shackle for the shiny silver drop, and then giving it a loving polish. Next time you want to exercise, consider a walk around the lake to admire this sculpture which is now looking at its very best.
