The main objective of the “Ganesh Festival” event is to spread the message of peace and harmony, celebrate through the spiritual vibes of the festival and present an exquisite picture of multi-cultural Australia.
The festival celebrates Lord Ganesha as the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence.
  • Dance
  • Kid Friendly
  • Ganesh Chaturthi

The festival is marked with the installation of Ganesha clay idols privately in homes, or publicly on elaborate pandals (temporary stages). Observations include chanting of Vedic hymns, prayers, offerings and prasada that is distributed from the pandal to the community, include various sweets. The festival celebrates Lord Ganesha as the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence. It’s a 11 day event in most of the parts of India. In Melbourne, we celebrate it on a weekend within this festival period.

A special Ganesh Idol (5 FEET) is been brought from India which shall be exhibited on this event day for our attendees/guests to celebrate with us. Objective is to showcase Ganesh Festival tradition here in Melbourne.

Importantly, through this festival we also would like to support local / selected charity organisations in raising funds and increase awareness to be able to contribute to the noble cause and make a difference.
